Event - When I was about 10 I would always go over to my friend's house to play. His parents were very nice and they always collected nice things. The mom sometimes wore a little silver bar around her neck on a chain. I remember it said .999 troy ounce. At the time I was just getting into collecting coins and silver ones especially. So one day when I was over there, his parents were gone and we were playing war or something, and I was alone in their room. And I saw the silver bar on the bathroom counter. Well, I took it.
Apology - I'm an adult and I still have it! I've thought about mailing it back, but I haven't. And would it really matter this many years later? I made a dumb mistake and didn't do that kind of thing again. Over 30 years later, I still feel guilty about it. Weird, huh? I'm sorry!
Event - I was working as a production assistant for a cooking infomercial and once things were edit I was supposed to deliver the final copy to the studio. I had to stop twice on my way there, and at some point it was taken out of my car. Rather than tell anyone, I went back and found a rough edit of the infomercial and delivered that instead. It actually aired once and someone noticed and blamed someone other than me for the mistake. And they got fired. The rough edit actually showed one of the cooks dropping food on the floor and putting it back in the pan, saying "noone will see that."
Apology - Sorry to the person who got fired. I should have manned up and told them I lost the edit. And I should have taken blame for the test
