Event - My husband and sister-in-law were doing the Muddy Buddy (run/bike race) and I volunteered to be the videographer and commentator. I really wanted to do a good job so they would have a memory of the event, and made sure I got them in action and interviewed them at the end. After the race the whole family got together to view the video. The tape was blank. I forgot to push the record button. I wanted to die! And I'm pretty sure my sister-in-law wanted to be the one to make that happen.
Apology - This happened 4 years ago, and I still cringe every time that story gets told. I feel so, so bad about what happened. Michelle (and Marc), I am so sorry I screwed that up. I only wish there was a way I could make it up to you guys. Peach cobbler???
Event - I was so interested in dating a girl in 8th grade named Kathy O. She was cute but wore braces and everyone called her tinsel teeth and other names. We were at a party playing spin the bottle, and I was so excited when she sat down to play too. On my turn the bottle pointed at Kathy and everyone started goofing on me that I had to kiss tinsel teeth. I acted like a jerk and pretended I wanted no part of her either.
Apology - What an a-hole I was. That girl deserved such better treatment and I went with the idiot crowd. I have always regretted my stupidity and wondered how badly I hurt her feelings. Kathy O, I am so sorry. And this was 40 years ago...
