Secret Told To Protect Another

| Event - At my workplace, we have many people. I am friends with almost everyone there. One day, a girl came up (I'll name her personA) to me and told me about she likes this guy (personB). PersonB is involved in a relationship with another girl (PersonC, who doesn't work at this place) and they have a child together. A week later personA & personB end up going out. personA makes a request to personB asking him to choose either her or the girl he is involved with. He says he needs time to think about it. Weeks later, personB goes over to personA's house and has sex with her (more than once that night). Later on in the night, he breaks up with personA over a text message and blocks her from his msn and facebook. She told me all of this the next day and told me to NEVER tell ANYONE
Now (about a month later), another friend of mine (PersonD) told me that personB likes her and told her how he wants her to give him a bj and a handjob. So I told her the story behind PersonA and personB (everyone at work knows that A and B were a couple and how they had sex with each other and how B has a child, but they don't know about the txt message incident and the request) |
| Apology - I am wondering, should I be forgiven for telling PersonD about this? PersonD likes him but I don't think that PersonD should go through what personA went through; thinking that PersonB really likes them and in reality, only wanted to have sex with them. I understand that it was a secret, but I felt that it had to be told to protect her.
Should I be forgiven? |
