Misunderstood

| Event - All through school there was this one girl I didn't get along with. She was mean to me, and because I thought she was a bully I was mean back. I found out that she was telling people I was bullying her, and I was angry because I thought she was lying (SHE was the bully, right?) I said spiteful things about her behind her back, and tried to avoid her. We haven't spoken in years and I realise when I look back on it that she was very unhappy. I'm worried I made it worse. |
| Apology - I'm so sorry, I thought you were just mean and it never occurred to me that you might be having troubles too. I wish I could take back every nasty look and cruel word. I found you on Facebook but I'm too scared to get in touch - what if you don't remember me? Even worse, what if you DO? |

You must progress to the 4th step and admit your wrongdoings and attempt to make amends while the living are with us. There is a post secret about something exactly like this and someone committed suicide over it. Own up, express yourself in a righteous and humble way, and work on HEALING the world one person at a time. |

I think you should send her a message and tell her just what you have told us. You might make a world of difference in her life or she might ignore you. At worst she writes back with a nasty remark, but they are only words. As someone who was bullied in HS I can say that it's never too late to apologise. If I ever received one from those who did it to me I would feel happy knowing that they have grown as a person. |

Confront problems immediately. That way the problem doesn't get a chance to gain strength. I vote you get in touch with the 'girl' -you two just might become friends. Plus,as you confront your fears they loose power. |
